Description

XIAMETER™ OFX-8417 silicone oil consists of reactive amino functional groups in its structure.

If applied to fabrics, fabrics have long-lasting softness, wrinkle resistance, tensile recovery and smoothness .

Especially suitable for processing cotton, nylon, polyester, acrylonitrile fibers and their mixed braids.

Usage method

XIAMETER OFX-8417 silicone oil can be emulsified into micro-emulsions by applying a variety of commercial emulsifiers. The following emulsifier formula is for reference only and can be replaced by other formulations.

Softanol™70        5.0-7.0%

Acetic acid (I)       0.1%

Pre-phase water (I)  2.0-4.5%

Diluent (I)          20%

Acetic acid (II)       0.15%

Dilution water balance

(Softanol™ 70, alkyl carbon C=12-14, linear secondary alcohols 7EO.)

Procedure:

1. Add XIAMETER OFX-8417 silicone oil and Softanol 70 surfactant to the tank and stir rapidly for 10 minutes.

2. Add the pre-preparation water and acetic acid (I) and stir on high speed for 10 minutes.

3. Add 20 parts diluted water (I) and stir on high speed for 20 minutes. Add the preliminary water (II) and stir on high speed for 10 minutes.

4. Add the remaining diluted water (II) and acetic acid (II) and stir at medium speed for 10 minutes until a uniform emulsion is formed.

5. Filter and pack.

Storage and availability

Products should be stored in unopened original containers at 40°C (104°F) or lower.
